Where have the US Manufactures gone

Well it's about 12 Noon EST as I sit here going through emails I have to ask myself where are all the US Manufacturers going - out of business - why because we purchase everything from China. I am confused with the way the economy is today why would we not want to take care of our own. Sometimes I wish we could go back with out all this technology to a sweeter time when you were happy to see an old friend because you haven't emailed, Text, or called them in the past couple of weeks, you could actually speek face to face - what a concept.
